Water system for vegetable garden
The project is in line with the groups aim of environmental conservation. It is also an income generating activity. A solar powered well pump could provide water as there are no close water sources. The pump would also provide water for the vegetable garden and for watering chicken, sheep, and cows. Working tools for the nursery are also needed.
Farmers in this area are confronted with many difficulties while trying to plan for a small garden or farm and harvest crops. There is a lack of rain and no close water source, so members must currently walk as far as 3km for water. A nearby well with a pump to provide water for the vegetables would be ideal. A solar power source could power the pump. Furthermore, the pump could provide clean drinking water for the community.
