Over the last 10 years Peacework and our partners in Vietnam have succeeded in building many schools for rural communities in the MeKong Delta.

In the domain of health care, we have supported the Rehabilitation Hospital in Nha Trang for over 5 years, having constructed 7 new buildings, which constitute over 75% of the hospital facilities. Furthermore, we have donated specialized medical equipment such as a hyperbaric chamber to the Rehabilitation Hospital in addition to providing specialists and short-term medical personnel to assist local staff.

Further, Peacework has worked with the Ministry of Health in Khanh Hoa Province to construct shelters for leprosy outpatients and their families. This project is ongoing, and we are seeking more partners to continue this work. Our partners at DePauw University also raised the seed funds to start a micro-loan program for this target group, which is run through the Leprosy Hospital.

We also work closely with our partners at Can Tho University assisting in their innovative self-sufficient family farm project, which is the foundation of the community and economic development efforts in the region.
