The JEFRENI youth group was formed in February 2006 and is named after Jerim, Fredrick and Nicanor, brothers, who unfortunately passed away after a serious arsonist attack. The group proposes to deal with key community issues such as poverty eradication amongst youth, youth HIV/AIDS education, and youth environmental education. The group consists entirely of orphans and youth with impoverished parents unable to care for their basic needs. JEFRENI takes advantage of the skills of individual members to collectively obtain basic needs. The group is registered with the Ministry of Home Affairs Heritage and Sports Department of Social Services, Rachuonyo District.
