Health and Primary Care with BFLA
The Peacework-BFLA S&R health and primary care initiative is a cooperation between Peacework physicians and medical professionals, Belize Family Life Association (service provider for sexual and reproductive health services) and the Ministry of Health. Our partner in Stann Creek is the Des Moines School of Osteopathic Medicine, who saw 1200 patients in 5 days during their last two weeks in Belize in June, 2007. They served in 3 towns and 5 village locations in a women's health and primary care clinic campaign. We are looking for additional medical school and D.O. school partners to join this initiative as partners with other districts.
